PHENIX EN PROVENCE® is a 50-50 joint venture, born from the partnership between the Agricultural Cooperative of Provence Languedoc (CAPL) and the independent R&D firm INATURALS, creators of natural ingredients.
PHENIX EN PROVENCE® has set two primary objectives:
Upstream: Enhancing the compensation of organic tomato farmers in Provence.
Downstream: Assisting cosmetic and wellness brands in their clean label initiatives by providing upcycled, French-origin ingredients that are short-cycled, resulting in a low carbon footprint, and are 100% natural and 100% traceable.
To achieve these goals, we have developed a robust and sustainable business model that leverages the rich Provence's terroir. This model is supported by a rigorous and intelligently designed scientific foundation, ensuring that our ingredients fully comply with the current international standards and regulations in the cosmetics and nutraceutical industries.
CAPL has over 12 thousand farmer members. Its mission is to support and advise farmers in the management of their farms. The Cooperative is solidly anchored on the bases of cooperation, this model places the human being at the heart of the concerns to act in the interest of its members. CAPL's values are commitment. proximity, and innovation. Cultivating innovation and anticipating contributing to the success of today's and tomorrow's productions while respecting environmental requirements is a value anchored within the group. In 2019, CAPL created LE PANIER PROVENCAL which was a takeover of the tomato processing factory in TARASCON, in the Bouches du Rhône (Provence region) southern of France.
Inaturals® is a research and development company which create premium clean label ingredients. The company was founded in 2018 by Leila Falcao, PhD in Sciences. The objective of naturals is to accelerate sustainable innovation of natural ingredients for the cosmetics, well-being (human and animal) and agri-food markets. The ingredient creation strategy is based on cross-functional integration of research, marketing, and industrial capabilities. The values of naturals are creativity, authenticity, and simplicity. Inaturals® relies on its solid experience in the R&D design and efficacy of natural ingredients, on its knowledge of the market, on green extraction and formulation technologies.
